Hello. My name is Ms. Whitehead, and I am a sixth-grade ELA  teacher at South Greene Middle School. I have taught sixth grade since 2008, but have been a permanent fixture at Debusk, now known as South Greene Middle School, since 1999. Greene County has been my home for many years as I am both a high school and college graduate from this area. As a graduate of Tusculum University, I obtained an undergraduate degree in General/Special Education and a Master's  Degree in Education. My immediate family consists of two handsome sons who graduated from a local high school in Greene County and a lovely daughter-in-law who is from North Carolina. It is my mission at South Greene Middle School to empower the students  I come into contact with to 'believe'  in themselves and realize they have unique and special gifts that will impact others as we are all 'works in progress.' To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson, "What lies before us and what lies behind us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
