Ms. Harris

Ms. Harris is a Special Education teacher at South Greene Middle School (SGMS), where she serves students in grades 6 through 8.

She began her teaching career in Greene County in 2002 at McDonald Elementary School before moving to DeBusk Elementary School in 2007. When DeBusk Elementary became South Greene Middle School, Ms. Harris continued her commitment to supporting students there. She earned her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Tusculum University and is licensed in the state of Tennessee with endorsements in Special Education (K–12) and Elementary Education (Grades 1–8).

Ms. Harris has two adult daughters, Kalyn, a children's librarian, and Bailey, a teacher. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, caring for foster dogs, and keeping up with the never-ending task of vacuuming dog hair at home.
