Scholars' Bowl

Scholar's Bowl is an academic competition among Greene County's 8th graders where each of the 4 middle schools create a team to compete in 4 competitions as the year progresses. Each team consists of students to represent them in 2 sides of the competition. First is ELA and Social Studies and then Math and Science.

 

The SGMS Scholars Bowl Team typically consists of 8 to 10 members. Students will be selected to participate based on academic merit in multiple subjects, team work skills, and behavior in class. After ample time is given to display their skills in class, students will be selected and meetings will begin after the 1st Progress Report.

 

 

Competitions are usually held at Central Office and are not open to visitors. However, pictures and scoring updates will be sent using the Band app.
